Dr. Azly’s post on Malaysia-Today looks rather too defensive and fails to answer the allegations brought up by UUM Vice-Chancellor as reported by Malaysiakini here. The VC alleges Dr Azly (and I think it’s quite true) of not honoring his contract.
As a comment by Uncle Tan in Dr Azly’s MT article hints, it is possibly a matter of convenience for Dr Azly to hobnob and brush shoulders with prestigious Columbia University academics and enjoy life in the land of freedom rather than contending with scanty resources and lacklustre students in UUM.
I’m not for AkuJanji, and it’s too bad that Dr Azly has to waste time dealing with an incompetent university with even more incompetent leaders, but Dr Azly’s straw man is too obvious, don’t you agree?
But to be fair, let’s wait for Dr Azly’s proper response on this issue.
